Meetings set for feedback on Yazoo Backwater Study

VICKSBURG, Miss. (WJTV) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Vicksburg District announced a series of public meetings to gather feedback on the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for the Yazoo Backwater Study Area.

The DEIS, published on June 28, 2024, outlines proposed actions and potential impacts related to flood risk management in the region.

Residents, stakeholders, and interested parties are encouraged to attend these meetings to learn more about the study and provide their input. The meetings will be held at the following locations and times:
