RANKIN COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – A body was discovered by a fisherman near the Barnett Reservoir, authorities said.

Reservoir Police Chief Carlos DiPuma said officers received a call between 9:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 13.

According to DiPuma, the man’s body was located along the Harborview boat route near the Spillway.

Rankin County Coroner David Ruth identified the man as 57-year-old Brian Williams, of Brandon. His death is still under investigation.
