Man arrested for February 2024 homicide in Jackson

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police arrested a 29-year-old man in connection to a February 2024 homicide.

Detective Tommie Brown said Walter Howell was arrested and charged with murder.

Brown said the body of Joshua Lindsey was found near the 3400 block of Rosemary Avenue on Friday, February 16. They said he was shot multiple times.

According to the Hinds County Detention Center’s website, Howell was arrested on July 3.
