JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson City Councilman Ashby Foote, Ward 1, wants to know when Hotel O will be torn down.

According to Foote, Judge Jeffery Reynolds ordered the city to tear down the abandoned hotel. The councilman said donors have offered to fund the demolition process, but he needs to be able to tell them when the building will be torn down.

City Attorney Drew Martin said the owners of Hotel O have filed an appeal in Circuit Court. Martin added that he hopes Judge Reynolds will soon authorize the city to put up barriers around the hotel to keep people off of the property.
