PIKE COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – A bridge will be closed for four weeks in Pike County.

Officials with the Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) said the Delaware Avenue overpass at Interstate 55 will be closed to through traffic in both directions. The closure will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, July 29.

According to officials, the overpass will be raised as part of the resurfacing project on I-55 in Pike County.

Drivers should seek alternate routes and be on high alert for roadside workers.
