NATCHEZ, Miss. (WJTV) – A 21-year-old Natchez man was killed during a crash in Louisiana.

The crash happened at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 21 on Highway 484 in Natchitoches Parish.

Officials with Louisiana State Police Troop E said a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by 21-year-old Chadwick Nelson II, was traveling westbound on the highway. They said his vehicle left the road, went down an embankment and struck a large tree.

According to Louisiana State Police, Nelson was not restrained and sustained serious injuries. He died from his injuries at a hospital.

Troopers said routine toxicology samples were collected and will be submitted for analysis. The crash remains under investigation.
