TANGIPAHOA PARISH, La. (WJTV) – A Mississippi man was found deceased in Louisiana.

According to the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office (TPSO), deputies received a call about the homicide around 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 27 in the Kentwood area. They responded to Brab Alford Lane near State Line Road.

Investigators said the caller reported seeing a man slumped over in a vehicle that was sitting idle in the middle of the road surrounded by glass. Deputies said the man had been shot and killed inside the vehicle.

According to the TPSO, the man was identified as 43-year-old Edward Robertson, of Magnolia, Mississippi. Investigators are working to identify the suspects.
