NATCHEZ, Miss. (WJTV) – Bond has been set for the man accused of shooting at a Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) trooper during a chase in Adams County.
The Natchez Democrat reported Justice Court Judge Audrey Minor set a $1.5 million cash-only bond for Hollis Louis Green, 33, of Natchez.
On Thursday, August 1, MHP officials said a trooper initiated a traffic stop on U.S. 61 near York Road on a white 2017 Ford Fiesta. The driver was identified as Green.
Troopers said Green attempted to flee, and during the chase, he fired multiple shots at the pursuing trooper. Officials said the trooper momentarily lost sight of Green and soon discovered the abandoned vehicle at a residence on Lincoln Heights Road in Adams County.
MHP officials said after a search in the area, troopers located Green just before 9:45 a.m. They said he was in possession of a firearm and was taken into custody without further incident.

Green was booked into the Adams County Jail and is facing several charges, including aggravated assault on a police officer, felony fleeing, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, in addition to various misdemeanor violations.
