PEARL, Miss. (WJTV) – Pearl police arrested a man after they said he “savagely” attacked a woman.
The incident occurred at a home on Shelton Street around 3:40 a.m. on Sunday, August 4.
When officers arrived, they located 38-year-old Christopher Curtis Mack, of Morton, walking down the street away from the home. He was detained for questioning.
Once officers arrived at the home, police said they encountered a “truly horrific scene.” They said the female victim was savagely beaten. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Mack was arrested and charged with aggravated domestic violence. He is being held in the Rankin County Jail.
The case will be presented to the Rankin County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
