LEAKE COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – Two Brandon men were killed during a crash in Leake County.

The crash happened on Highway 25 just after 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 11.

Officials with the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) said a 2016 Chevrolet Corvette was traveling south on the highway when it ran off the road and hit a tree.

Troopers said the driver, 56-year-old Edward Pinter, and the passenger, 60-year-old Melvin Franklin, both died at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation by MHP.
