MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two teenagers have lost their lives and another was critically injured after a crash late Sunday night on Interstate 269, the Mississippi Highway Patrol said.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to a crash on I-269 in DeSoto County Sunday at 11:06 p.m.
A 2013 GMC Sierra driven by a 17-year-old was traveling north on I-269 when it left the roadway and rolled over several times.
The driver received severe injuries from the crash and was taken to a local hospital.
A passenger in the GMC, 17-year-old Brandon S. Munoz received fatal injuries from the crash and was pronounced dead on the scene.
Another passenger, 18-year-old Santiago Giron-Rico received fatal injuries from the crash and was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
The crash remains under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
