NATCHEZ, Miss. (WJTV) – Police are searching for a man after he allegedly shot his cousin during a family gathering in Natchez.
The Natchez Democrat reported the incident occurred at Duncan Park around 6:45 p.m. on Saturday, August 17.
Natchez Police Chief Cal Green said the suspect, Reginald Rodgers, shot his cousin, Marcus Lawrence, and left the scene. The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Green said Rodgers will likely be charged with aggravated assault once he’s in custody.
