Man pleads guilty to drive-by shooting at Mississippi community college

PIKE COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – A man pled guilty in connection to a drive-by shooting at Southwest Mississippi Community College.

The Daily Leader reported 21-year-old Bryan Cameron, Jr., pled guilty to one count of drive-by shooting, three counts of shooting into an automobile, one count of conspiracy to commit the crime of drive-by shooting, one count of possession of a firearm on school property, and one count of criminal gang activity.

The shooting occurred on campus on September 9, 2021. Cameron was 18 at the time of the shooting.

Cameron faces up to 68 years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC). He is scheduled to be sentenced on September 16, 2024, at 11:30 a.m.
