RIDGELAND, Miss. (WJTV) – Ridgeland police announced there will be minor traffic delays on Interstate 55 on Sunday, August 25.

Beginning at 7:00 a.m., Entergy crews will install power lines across I-55.

Officials said I-55 North will be closed at Colony Park Boulevard. The Frontage Road north of Colony Park Boulevard will also be closed. Traffic will be diverted to exit the interstate to Colony Park Boulevard. 

Turning right on Colony Park Boulevard will take you to U.S. 51, turn left and travel to Main Street in Madison and turn left to get back to Interstate 55. 

Turning left on Colony Park Boulevard will take you to Highland Colony Parkway, turn right on Highland Colony Parkway and travel to Highway 463 and turn right to get back to I-55.

I-55 South will also be closed at Madison Avenue in Madison. The Frontage Road south of Madison Avenue will also be closed. Traffic will be diverted to exit I-55 to Madison Avenue.

Turning right on Madison Avenue will take you to Highland Colony Parkway, turn left to travel to Colony Park Boulevard, turn left to get back to I-55. Turning left on Madison Avenue will take you to U.S. 51, turn right and travel to Colony Park Boulevard, turn right to get back to I-55.

This closure is anticipated to be less than two hours.
