JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Another Jackson restaurant will close its doors.

Michael Laskin announced on social media that Basil’s Downtown will close on Friday, September 13.

“Thanks for all the love, support, and friendship you’ve all afforded to us the last 19 years. It’s been a wild ride, and an honor serving you, our most important asset,” Laskin said.

The news comes one day after Fenian’s Pub in Jackson announced they would close after nearly 28 years. The last day for Fenian’s will be Tuesday, September 10.
