LEAKE COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – Leake County deputies are investigating after three people were found deceased.

On August 24, Leake County Sheriff Randy W. Atkinson said deputies were dispatched to the 7100 block of Highway 488 in the Freetrade Community.

The caller informed deputies that she had not heard from her friend, Kelly Duarte, all day and went to her friend’s home to check on her. The caller said she found her friend lying face down on the floor and unresponsive. She also said she found the husband of her friend, Reynaldo Duarte, hanging and unresponsive.

When deputies arrived at the location, Atkinson said they found a third person, Robert Walker, unresponsive at the scene. They recovered multiple shell casings and a firearm from inside the home.

All three individuals were pronounced deceased at the scene by the Leake County Coroner’s Office.
