AMITE COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – A McComb man was killed during a crash in Amite County.

The crash occurred on Highway 24 just before 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 28.

Officials with the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) said a 2005 Chevrolet Suburban, driven by 34-year-old Derrick Magee, was traveling east on the highway when it collided with a 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe.

Troopers said Magee received fatal injuries from the crash and was pronounced deceased on the scene.

The crash remains under investigation by MHP.
