JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police arrested a man in connection to a fatal shooting that occurred in early September.

Detective Tommie Brown said Phillip Owens, 29, was charged with murder in connection to the death of Gregory Bowen.

The shooting occurred in the 1600 block of Raymond Road on Sunday, September 1. Police said Bowen was pronounced deceased at the scene.
