JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police are investigating after a man was shot and killed overnight.

Detective Tommie Brown said officers responded to Highway 80 at State Street and located the victim, Marquiez Scott. He had been shot multiple times and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

According to Brown, the shooting allegedly occurred in the 3100 block of Booker Street. The suspect was in a white pickup truck.
