AMITE COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – A Louisiana teen died after a crash in Mississippi.

The crash occurred on Highway 568 in Amite County just before 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 13.

According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP), a 2010 Toyota Tacoma was traveling east on the highway when it left the road and collided with a tree.

The driver, 17-year-old Mason Prima, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, was airlifted to Our Lady of the Lake in Baton Rouge where he was pronounced dead.

This crash remains under investigation by MHP.
