JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a vehicle in Jackson.

The incident occurred in the 3200 block of Medgar Evers Boulevard around 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 18.

Detective Tommie Brown said the 42-year-old victim was attempting to cross the road when he was struck by a white 2000 Nissan Frontier pickup truck. Brown said the driver of the vehicle was interviewed at the scene, and it’s not known if charges will be filed.

The Hinds County coroner identified the victim as Odie Clincy, 42.
