VICKSBURG, Miss. (WJTV) – A Vicksburg man was arrested for a “potential murder-for-hire” plot in Louisiana.
Vicksburg Daily News reported Johnnie Hicks, 25, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder, solicitation for murder, criminal conspiracy, aggravated burglary, obstruction of justice, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in Iberville Parish.
According to authorities, Herman Harris, 65, was found deceased from a gunshot wound in Maringouin on August 27, 2024. Investigators said Hicks’ DNA was found on a pillow at the crime scene.
Authorities said they’re searching for Javadda Lewis, 32, in connection to the case. They previously arrested David Brooks, Jr., 40, and Rilonda Brooks, 44. The two were both charged with second-degree murder, solicitation for murder, criminal conspiracy, and obstruction of justice.
