JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police arrested a man after he allegedly stabbed his brother.

The incident occurred at a home in the 3600 block of Newman Avenue on Tuesday, October 2.

Detective Tommie Brown said the 53-year-old victim received severe lacerations and was taken to the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) for treatment. The victim’s brother was arrested.

Brown did not identify the victim or the suspect. The investigation is ongoing.
