Man wanted for stabbing woman to death inside Jackson home

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police have issued an arrest warrant for the man accused of stabbing a woman to death inside her home.

Detective Tommie Brown said police are searching for Anthony Jerome Bunzy, 40. According to Brown, Bunzy is known to frequent the I-55 South corridor and the Cooper Road area.

Bunzy is accused of killing Margaret Washington, 58, inside her home on Exchange Drive on September 23, 2024.

Police believe the Washington’s vehicle was stolen by the suspect, and it was later found in South Jackson.
