RAYMOND, Miss. (WJTV) – A Hinds County detainee was injured during a fight, according to the sheriff.

Hinds County Sheriff Tyree Jones said the fight occurred at the Hinds County Detention Center in Raymond early Friday morning.

Jones said two detainees were involved in a physical altercation, and one of them was cut with an object. The injured detainee was transported to a local hospital.

According to the sheriff, the other detainee was observed by medical personnel at the jail.
