MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Southaven, Mississippi woman has been indicted on capital murder charges in the death of her young daughter in March.
Jessica Tabor, 31, was arrested by Southaven Police on March 22 and is currently being held without bond.
Friday, DeSoto County District Attorney Matthew Barton announced that Tabor has been indicted by a grand jury.
Tabor’s daughter Jastiny was found dead in a home on Bridgewater Drive.
A neighbor said Jastiny was one of three children who lived at the address and were being cared for by their loving grandparents.
The grandmother told WREG she was raising Jastiny and her brother because Tabor suffered from severe mental illness and was in and out of institutions.
