JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – A woman has been arrested for allegedly stabbing a man to death inside a McDonald’s restaurant in Jackson.

The incident occurred at the McDonald’s on Northside Drive on Sunday, October 13.

Jackson Police Chief Joseph Wade said a woman, who was identified as 22-year-old Destiny Gibson, stabbed the employee with a large knife during an altercation. She was arrested at the scene and is being questioned at the Jackson Police Department (JPD) headquarters.

“We’ve spoken to the officials from McDonald’s. We’re viewing the surveillance footage that they have here at the store. And just a very sad situation because when you think of McDonald’s, you think of a place that kids can come to, where families can come to a Sunday evening and get something to eat. But on this Sunday evening, the young man lost his life. We do not know if they knew each other,” said Wade.

He said Gibson was charged with murder. She appeared in court on Monday, October 14, and her bond was set at $2 million.

The employee was identified as 22-year-old Christopher Borras.

“We are shocked and devastated by this violent attack on one of our own. All our thoughts are with his family and loved ones, and we are offering them our full support. We are providing counseling to our crew members and fully cooperating with law enforcement during their investigation,” said Michael Valluzzo, McDonald’s Owner/Operator.
