JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police are investigating after a body was discovered in a wooded area.

Detective Tommie Brown said the body was discovered on Friday, October 11 near Forest Avenue and Clay Street. The body has not been identified.

Police said they could not confirm whether the individual is related to any missing person cases.
