JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – A man turned himself in to Jackson police in connection to a homicide at Manhattan Park.

Detective Tommie Brown said Johnathan Fortenberry was arrested on Monday, October 14. He was charged with murder.

Fortenberry is accused of killing Carderius Hathorn, of Carthage, at Manhattan Park on Cedars of Lebanon Road on Wednesday, September 4.

Investigations Deputy Chief Sequerna Banks said the victim was found shot multiple times inside a vehicle. Police recovered at least 10 shell casings at the scene.
