JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police arrested a woman after she allegedly fired shots from a vehicle on I-220.
The incident occurred Tuesday afternoon on I-220 near Industrial Drive. Detective Tommie Brown said the suspect’s vehicle was described as a blue 2006 Honda Accord.
Brown said officers responded to the Time Saver gas station on Hanging Moss Road to speak with a person whose vehicle had been shot during the incident.
Officers were able to locate the suspect’s vehicle. The suspect, 24-year-old Angelic Bernard, was transported to the Jackson Police Department (JPD) for questioning.
Bernard was later arrested and charged with drive-by shooting and aggravated assault. According to Brown, Bernard confessed to the shooting.
Bernard appeared in court on Wednesday, October 16, and her bond was set at $2 million.
