YAZOO CITY, Miss. (WJTV) – A Yazoo City man died after being shot multiple times.

Yazoo County Coroner Ricky Shivers said dispatchers were notified about a shooting victim just before 3:00 a.m. on Sunday. The victim had been brought to Baptist Medical Center Yazoo.

Shivers said the victim, 35-year-old Jarvis Williams, was pronounced deceased at the hospital shortly after his arrival.

The coroner said the case has been ruled a homicide and is under investigation by the Yazoo City Police Department.
