JONES COUNTY, Miss. (WHLT) – A Jones County student was injured after a school bus was involved in a crash with another vehicle.

The crash occurred on Highway 588 in Jones County around 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 16.

Officials with the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) said the school bus was traveling east on Monroe Road when it collided with a 1996 Ford F-Series truck that was traveling north on the highway.

According to troopers, a student on the school bus received minor injuries. The crash remains under investigation by MHP.
