JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Capitol police are investigating after a Dollar General was burglarized Thursday night.

The incident occurred at the Dollar General in the 1000 block of Highway 80 East around 11:50 p.m. on October 17.

Bailey Martin, press secretary of the Mississippi Department of Public Safety (DPS), said officers observed broken glass, and the security cage was damaged. They did not find any suspects inside the business.

After reviewing the surveillance video, police said the suspect was a Black male who was last seen wearing a blue-hooded jacket and gray pants.
