HINDS COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – A woman was killed and a man was injured during a motorcycle crash in Hinds County.

The crash occurred on Interstate 20 West near the 28-mile marker around 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 23.

Officials with the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) said a 2022 Harley Davidson ran off the road and collided with the cable barrier.

The driver, 27-year-old William Owens III, of Redwood, was injured and transported to the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) in Jackson. The passenger, 24-year-old Desiree Owens, of Redwood, received fatal injuries and died at the scene.

This crash remains under investigation by MHP.
