RANKIN COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – The Pearl River Valley Water Supply District (PRVWSD) announced a boil water notice was issued for subdivisions on the Pelahatchie Bay water system #610036.
The notice was issued on Monday, October 28 due to a 10″ water main break.
According to PRVWSD officials, there are 4,319 water connections affected in the area.

“We will take the first of the sample from the affected area starting on Monday, October 28, 2024. This boil water notice will be in effect until we receive clear sampling,” said Dwyane Mangum, director of Facilities Maintenance.
