Former Mississippi community college honor society advisor pleads guilty to embezzlement

ITAWAMBA COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – The former advisor for a national honor society at a Mississippi community college pled guilty to one count of embezzlement.

Robin Lowe was an advisor to the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) honor roll society chapter at Itawamba Community College (ICC). State Auditor Shad White said she converted funds meant to benefit the PTK chapter for her own personal use.

Lowe was prosecuted in the Itawamba County Circuit Court. She was sentenced to 20 years in prison with 19 years suspended, one year of Intensive Supervision Program (ISP), and $1,511.50 in fines.
