JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – A Memphis man was convicted in connection to a 2017 homicide at a Jackson motel.
Hinds County District Attorney Jody Owens said Marvin Willoughby found guilty of killing Freddie Mosley, 28.
Jackson police responded to the shooting at the Mustang Motel on September 12, 2017. They found Mosley deceased at the scene. Through surveillance video, investigators were able to identify Willoughby as the shooter.
Following a two-week manhunt across several states, Willoughby was arrested by U.S. Marshals in Kansas. Authorities said he was also engaged in human trafficking and prostitution, bringing women from out-of-state to Jackson to engage in the sex-trade.
