JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – A driver was killed during a fiery crash in Jackson, police said.

The crash occurred early Saturday morning at the intersection of Cooper Road and Suncrest Drive.

Detective Tommie Brown said a red Cadillac SUV was traveling south on Suncrest Drive when it left the road, crashed into a tree and caught fire. The unidentified driver died during the crash.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
