JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police are searching for two suspects after a six-year-old girl was shot.

The shooting happened in the 4200 block of Pyle Avenue around 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, November 17.

Detective Tommie Brown said the child was injured and taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police collected multiple shell casings at the scene.

According to Brown, officers were informed that two suspects were shooting at an individual at the location. No arrests have been made, but police have identified possible persons of interest in the case.
