JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police are investigating after a woman was shot and killed at her home.

The homicide occurred in the 1200 block of Marydale Drive around 2:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 20.

Jackson Police Chief Joseph Wade said there was a confrontation involving the victim’s daughter and unknown suspects (possibly teenagers) over a stolen bicycle.

“We have got to do better. I expect better. I expect more from our parents. I expect more from our youth in the community,” said Wade.

The police chief identified the victim as Sabrina Mulconrey, 47.
