JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police said a man was shot while he was trying to help someone with a stalled vehicle.
The shooting occurred on State Street at Beasley Road around 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 20.
Detective Tommie Brown said the victim was checking underneath the hood of the vehicle when he was approached by the suspect. According to Brown, the suspect questioned the victim and then shot him.
The suspect got into a vehicle and drove away. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
