Two teens charged in shooting death of 19-year-old in Jackson

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police arrested two teenagers in connection to the shooting death of a 19-year-old at an apartment complex.

Detective Tommie Brown said Jaylon Pearson, 17, and Jabari McClendon, 18, were both arrested and charged with murder.

Brown said the victim, Lamar Washington, 19, left his mother’s home around 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 17 to wash her vehicle. His body was found around 1:30 p.m. at the Trails at Northpointe near the passenger side of a silver Mitsubishi Outlander.

Police said Washington had been shot multiple times.
