JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – A pedestrian died after being hit by two vehicles in Jackson, police said.

The incident occurred on Interstate 55 near County Line Road around 2:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 28.

Detective Tommie Brown said the victim, Sterling Ray Hall, Jr., 57, was struck by two vehicles while attempting to cross I-55 North. Brown said the drivers of the two vehicles called police to report the accident and were on the scene when officers arrived.

One vehicle was a 2013 Toyota 4-Runner, and the other vehicle was a 2025 Freightliner UPS 18-wheeler.
