JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police are investigating after an 18-year-old was shot multiple times and died from his injuries.

Police responded to the 4200 block of Fairfax Avenue around 4:30 p.m. on Friday, November 29 regarding a shooting victim. Detective Tommie Brown identified the victim who died as Samuel Taylor, 18.

Shortly before Taylor was found on Fairfax Avenue, officers had responded to a call in the 2000 block of Chadwick Drive after shots were fired into several apartments. Brown said the three suspects were in a silver sedan. Detectives are investigating the possibility that the two shootings are related.
