HINDS COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – An 11-year-old was killed during a crash in Hinds County.

The crash occurred on MS-473 near Rosemary Road around 3:15 p.m. on Saturday, December 7.

Officials with the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) said a 2007 Cadillac CTS, driven by a 16-year-old from Jackson, was traveling northbound when it ran off the roadway and overturned. Two 11-year-old passengers were from Crystal Springs.

The driver and a juvenile passenger were transported to the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) in Jackson by a private vehicle with unknown injuries. Troopers said the third passenger, Liam Hunter, was ejected from the vehicle, received fatal injuries from the crash, and was pronounced deceased on the scene.

This crash remains under investigation by MHP.
