BROOKHAVEN, Miss. (WJTV) – Brookhaven police said a vehicle owner shot and killed a suspect involved in a burglary.

The Daily Leader reported the shooting happened around 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 8 at Speedy Wash on Industrial Park Road.

According to Brookhaven Police Chief Kenny Collins, a vehicle was burglarized at the location. He said the vehicle owner shot and killed one of the individuals believed, at the time, to be involved in the crime.
