GULFPORT, Miss. (WJTV) – Three men were sentenced in connection to a deadly 2021 New Year’s Eve shooting in Gulfport.
WXXV reported Vincent Armstrong, Latavion Bland, and Mario Clark pled guilty to their charges in August 2024.
Armstrong and Bland were both sentenced to five years in prison, and Clark received a 15-year suspended sentenced with five years post release supervision.
According to prosecutors, Bland and Armstrong admitted to firing into a crowd during a party at a home on December 31, 2021. They said Clark admitted that he lied to police in order to cover for Armstrong.
Four people died due to the shooting. The victims were identified as Nathaniel Harris, 52; Corey Dubose, 23; Sedrick McCord, 28; and Aubrey Lewis, 22.
