JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police arrested a 19-year-old and a 16-year-old in connection to a fatal shooting.

Detective Tommie Brown said Jeremares Bracey, 19, and an unidentified 16-year-old were arrested on Friday, December 13. They were both charged with capital murder.

Brown said the two suspects are also facing additional charges for a drive-by shooting into an occupied vehicle.

The fatal shooting occurred in the 900 block of West Northside Drive around 1:45 a.m. on Monday, December 9. Brown said the victim, Dalveon Russell, was shot at the location and pronounced deceased at the scene.
