JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – A Jackson man has been arrested after a U-Haul box truck was reported as stolen and later recovered, Rankin County deputies said.

Investigators said they were notified about a possible stolen U-Haul box truck proceeding westbound on Interstate 20 from Scott County into Rankin County around 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 14.

Deputies said the vehicle was spotted on I-20 West near the 56-mile marker, and a traffic stop was conducted.

Jessie Lee Dennis, Jr., was arrested for receiving stolen property. Deputies said they notified Capitol police that the U-Haul, which had been reported stolen on Wednesday, December 11, was recovered.

Dennis was transported to the Rankin County Detention Center. His bond has been set at $25,000.
