JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – A Jackson resident escaped from a house fire Thursday morning.

The fire occurred in the 100 block of Greenway Court off of McDowell Road around 5:45 a.m. on December 19.

Assistant Fire Chief Patrick Armon said a majority of the house was on fire by the time firefighters arrived at the scene.

Armon said no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
